Halfway between St-Omer and Béthune, on the edge of Flanders and Artois, this restaurant is a delicious surprise. From the outside, there is no hint of what awaits the visitor behind an ordinary facade, opposite the train station. But the moment you push open the door, its multi-layered secrets are revealed: a colourful atmosphere, tasteful decor, a cosy little lounge, a large dining room bathed in light, a sunny terrace… In charge is chef Thierry Wident, who has collected awards and recognition from the critics. He is passionate about the region and sharing its local produce. Reasonably priced menus and an unerring quality over the last thirty years have earned him his well-deserved reputation.
